# ALINA OS

> An AI-native operating system on NixOS, built by ControlStackAI. A fleet of agents works across the whole machine with partitioned memory, cross-model review, exact-action approvals and receipts. New in October 2026: Loom, an OS-owned session ledger shared by every agent harness, and a layered NixOS configuration a team can deploy to their own laptops. Direction: an always-on AI personal to one human, built on a personal model (Engram) that conducts frontier models.
